Another visit to CC

Evan had another trip to Crescent City this week, but it was a little quicker than the last one so there aren't as many pictures. Here he is sitting in his big boy chair eating cantaloupe and graham crackers. This nose scrunch is his latest favorite face.

Swinging at Grandma and Papa Mac's house.
Playing hide and seek with his cousins at Grandpa Bob's new house.

Bedtime stories with Grandma Tammy and Cousin Alysha.

The long ride home...facing forward! Grandma and Papa gave us Alysha's old car seat and Evan loves it! Thank goodness we had this going for us since our car overheated right outside Dunsmuir, making our trip home a record 12 hours!

Hanging out at the post office/slash Chevron station waiting for the car to cool down.
Evan enjoyed his first nectarine.
Playing with the wind chimes at grandma and papa's. I think this is what we will collect on our travels because he loves them so much!

Playing with grandma's phone. You get to see a little taste of his dancing. He literally dances every time he hears music, it is great!

Playdates

Evan had a very social week. On Wedesday we went out to Sue's house to swim and hang out with the girls. Then on Sunday we went to Rowan's 3rd birthday (I forgot my camera), and finally today Samantha and Christy came over. Below he is reading with his daddy who just got back from the quickest trip to Crescent City (from Santa Rosa and back in one day).

Here he is at Sue's house. Doesn't it look like he is texting?
Showing off his walking skills.
I can never seem to get Samantha and Evan looking at the camera at the same time.
What's up?

Last Swimming Lesson

Evan had his last swimming lesson tonight and we got to go down the big slide!
Here he is with daddy checking out the big slide.
For some reason when he went down with Ben they went extremely slow.

I, being the daredevil I am in the water (teehee), had to show them how it should be done.

Dr. Visit

Evan had his one year well baby check up today. We are a little behind on the visits because we were having scheduling difficulties with our family practice doctor, so we switched him to a pediatrician.
It was only our first visit, but it was much more enjoyable than our previous experiences. Evan and I both like his new doctor, Dr. Hoffman (we loved his old doctor too, but it was too hard to schedule with her specifically). She was very attentive and kind.
Evan weighs 21 lbs 12.3 oz (23%), he is 29 3/4 inches tall (31%) and his head circumference is 18.31 inches (43%). His earache seems to slowly be improving, and his eczema is clearing up. He had one shot in each arm, two in one leg, a finger prick, and a fluoride brushing, and for the most part handled it like a champ. Here are some pictures of all his band aids (sorry about the pee pee shot, he obviously needed to be stripped down after his mac and cheese experience).

Bailie's Birthday Party

Evan went to Bailie's birthday party last Saturday. We both got to see friends we hadn't seen in weeks. He's sporting another outfit Auntie Alysha got him for his birthday.

Mama forgot a bib, so he had to borrow one of the birthday girl's.
Evan got to play with his friend from daycare, Mateo.
Don't they look like they are up to no good. At least they weren't heading toward the presents.
Mateo loves to give Evan hugs.
Evan is getting good at recovering from them:)

This is the only shot I ended up with of the birthday girl and Evan. It looks like he is checking to see if he can play with her Elmo ball, but I am not sure he really cared.

Visit with His Cousins

Grandma Tammy brought Evan's cousins Kaleya and Alysha down for a long weekend. We started the weekend with the American Idol concert Friday, but Evan stayed home with Daddy for a (sleepless) guys night. Sunday we took them for a photo shoot. Aren't they cute?

Evan loves Kaleya! He followed her everywhere, and wanted to do everything she did.
A little case of hat head after a walk with mama, Kaleya, Alysha, Shadow and Grandma.

Reading with Uncle Ben.
Alysha loves to perform, and Evan loves to watch and occasionally join in.
Alysha is dancing on an ABC mat, while holding ABCs, and singing the ABC song.
