After a trip made even longer with anticipation, we finally arrived! This was my first time staying at the Disneyland Hotel and it did not disappoint.
This is my favorite picture of the entire week, and it was the second one I took:).

He loved the pool so much! He didn't want to get out. The only motivation was the fact that we were having dinner at Goofy's kitchen.

You would never believe that it took him three tries to go down the slide, and he had already gone down it once. Strange boy, but we love him all the same. We all enjoyed the slides. I hadn't been on a real water slide since middle school, and even I enjoyed it.

Dinner at Goofy's Kitchen was well worth it. Evan got to see the characters up close, which got him even more excited for actual Disneyland.

I can't even express how happy this boy was and this was only 6 hours into our adventure.
They made him feel special from the minute we arrived at the hotel by giving him an I'm celebrating pin. When they sang to him he was over the moon. He danced when the music played in the restaurant and he didn't want to leave.
I am pretty sure Minnie is his favorite. He chose this picture to frame in his room.
Enjoy the fireworks, but it is the conversation that I want to remember.

First day at Disneyland! First ride? The Nemo submarine ride.
He was unable to concentrate on anything else once the ride attendant mentioned a shark.

He was totally into the autograph thing. He filled his book, but we still waited in line for pictures.
Mickey's House: The point where I lost my marbles for a minute. While winding through the house you can play and look at his things. However, there are a bazillion kids doing the same thing. Long story short, he was looking at one thing, and the next thing I know, neither his head or shoes are among the bazillion kids. PANIC! He was in the next room because, duh, there was a T.V.. In hindsight, where was he going to go? But in the moment, instant tears as soon as my eyes saw his handsome little face.
He loves Lightning McQueen, but he was too loud!

Evan thought it was hilarious to grab Daddy's nose, over and over and over again. Ben, not so much.
I love the show, but it eventually got too loud for Evan. We watched the end of the show as we walked away.

First day of summer = beach!
Thank you Andrea for the recommendation of Mothers Beach in Long Beach. It was perfect, and we would love to go back someday.

We were first in line for Autopia. Favorite ride as a kid. Man, having your license sure does change that I guess:)
It's a Small World
This was Evan's favorite section of Disneyland. We are pretty sure Donald was on vacation, because we saw every other character more than once.
This was Evan's favorite ride by far! Lucky for us the line was never long. We got out and went back in at least fifteen times.
A little ice cream on Main Street and we are out of there.
For our last day, we went back to California Adventure. He wasn't into riding any of the rides the first day, but the second day at Disneyland changed that. He was ready for it by day three. We rode almost all of the kid rides at California Adventure. Which, considering there was record breaking attendance, was quite a feat.

Seeing Lightning driving down the street of Radiator Springs was pretty cool!
He really enjoyed the Disney Junior show. He got to see all his favorite characters in action.
The Little Mermaid ride was our frequent flyer for this park.
Still on the bench for the carousel, but he enjoys it.

We had such a great trip. I could have stayed for another week! So many memories made. Can't wait to go back.
