Getting Ready for Halloween

Evan has enjoyed a month filled with jack-o'-lanterns and Halloween books. Unfortunately, with every book we read, he changed his mind on a costume. We were going to use the jack-o'-lantern costume Grandma Mac bought, but it is just a tad too small. He couldn't stop tugging on it. So, tonight we decided he will be a logger. Cut off jeans, a flannel, boots, and a chainsaw. I will post pics. Orange, orange, everywhere!
Orange smiles even!

Our jack-o'-lanterns. Evan hasn't done his yet:)

Evan's First Visit to the ER

Evan had his first visit to the emergency room on Tuesday, October 19th. We were over at Auntie Alysha's house, just about to eat dinner, when Dora came on the TV. Evan started doing the little dance, stepped on a blanket, and fell off the couch. He hit his head on the coffee table, and started crying. Ben went to get him, brought him to me, and started brushing something off his shirt. When we realized it wasn't brushing off, we looked closer. Then I looked at my hand, and it was covered in blood. We took him to the ER, and three hours later we were home, and he had four staples in his head. He cried when he fell and when the last three staples went in. A week later we went to the doctor and had them taken out. No tears! Waiting for his head to get numb.
His Cousin Alysha must have taught him this smile.
"Feel better mama, ready go home."
His little hospital bracelet.
Daddy is back!
Glove balloon
"More TV mama?"
After the staples, he stopped crying as soon as he saw his treat from titi.

Hot October Nights

Since it has been in the 90's for way too much of October, Ben decided to bust out the sprinkler. Evan decided we all needed turns including Grandpa Bob. The pictures don't do it justice, but the videos do. About halfway through Evan shouts, "This is fun!"
"Go grandpa, go!"
"Ready, set, go!"
He did not like to be on the shoulders because that meant he wasn't running.

Grandpa's done.
Auntie's turn!

Big Boy Potty

No celebrations yet, baby steps. He at least enjoys and asks to sit on the potty and read books. We have the Elmo potty video, but he hasn't asked to watch it since the first time. He is crying because he wants books. Maybe someday he will actually go in the potty!
Now he is happy!

So happy!

Sarah's Wedding

We had a great time at Sarah's wedding. I had a slight wardrobe malfunction no thanks to my mom and Ben who convinced me it looked fine. An hour of Evan and it was not fine! I cropped the pictures, so that is why they are odd shaped. I love this one of Ashley watching Sarah walk down the aisle with their dad. Mr. and Mrs. Willard
