Paaarty!

Evan has had back to back fun-filled weekends. There are enough pictures for 5 or 6 blog posts, but I a slamming them all into one. Not only has he already started celebrating his birthday (which isn't for a few more days), but he also went to a birthday party for Samantha, another for his cousin Avery, and a play date with the UCD babies. He has learned to say and do the word party.
Evan started celebrating his birthday Thursday with Grandma and Papa Mac. They took us to dinner and then gave him his presents. He was up at five the next morning with his new sandals on, ready to play with his sand and water table. You can see that it soon turned into a lake both on the table and on the ground. He loves it! We have been outside non-stop since Wednesday, which is when we brought home his gift from the Thomas family.
A kitchen! He has been making breakfast, lunch and dinner for mommy and daddy. His specialties are cheese (macaroni and cheese), chocolate cake, and of course endless cups of water and milk. This is his microwave dance. It makes multiple noises and he just can't dance fast enough.

More?

He also got a backhoe from grandma and papa. He has been a very busy and happy boy.
That night he wanted to take Shadow for a walk...
...Shadow had no such plan.

Evan provides my musical entertainment while I make dinner. Look at that smile!

I can't believe it has been two years since I met all of my UCD mommy friends. We had a great visit at the Cargo Family's new house. They are all getting so big and becoming more and more independent.
There were only a few issues when it came to sharing. For the most part they all just played near each other.

Adding Jack to the picture:)
It was easier to capture them all in the same picture before they were mobile.

These two almost look related.

After some helpful coaxing from Nicole, Evan finally ventured into the pool.

The night before our play date we were at the Seale house celebrating Avery's 6th birthday. Isn't this a beautiful picture of Brynn? She will be four in a few weeks.
This was the perfect cousin photo op.

Look, grandma is swinging too!
Did you see that? Grandma's head hit the tree! Funny!

I swear two days prior, these pants fit!

Opening presents!

Birthday Girl!
Before we went to Avery's birthday party, we helped Samantha celebrate her 2nd birthday. Evan fell asleep on the ride to West Sac.
Completely out!
Samantha's birthday party theme was ducks. Evan loved all the duck party favors. What he didn't love so much, the splash park! I guess it is a good thing we decided to pass on a birthday party for him this year since that is where we had planned to have his.
The Birthday Girl!
Duckie!

Her face may not look like it, but Samantha loved the splash park!

Her brand new swimsuit was a little big. Every few steps she took resulted in the her bottoms falling down, but that didn't slow her down one bit.

He can always find a surface to drum on!

Evan loved running up and down the grassy hills.

Come on socks, help me out a little!
Finally!
The weekend before all the partying officially began, Grandma Tammy and Papa Kirk brought Evan's cousins, Alysha and Kaleya, down to play.

Drumming with Kaleya. He would actually pause to make sure they were drumming together.

Group hug with Auntie Alysha:)
Bath time. Hey, what is she doing in here? Not so sure about this sharing his bathtub thing...
Uh-oh here comes the face...

Starting the visit off right, with a donut.

I guess he didn't like having chocolate on his hands:)
