Such a Big Boy!

Evan was so excited to give me his Mother's Day card. He helped me open it quickly so we could get back to drumming. He just can't seem to get enough. He has Pooh Bear sing and dance along, and when they need a break, he gives Pooh a ride in the "drum." Feeding his piggy.
On Mother's Day, before the rain came, I sat outside reading a book while Evan helped daddy do some yard work. Amazingly enough I don't think his hands ever touched the dirt. He likes to dig and use his dump truck, but once daddy gets the lawnmower or weedwacker fired up, he is ready to go inside. Once inside he says repeatedly, "Mama, daddy's wacker," and it is funny every time:)

The boots are actually being used purposefully.

Evan and I participated in the Race for the Cure Saturday. We did the 5k and there was some walking, jogging, and sleeping along the way. I forgot my camera, but of course Evan didn't want to go inside when we got home, so I took pictures then while he played with Shadow.
Doesn't he look like such a little boy? Where has my baby gone? Hard to believe he will be two in three weeks.
A little game of fetch. This may be the only time Shadow actually chased the ball. Evan will be glad when Jenny comes for a visit next weekend.

Running!
Back and forth, back and forth.

Not a great angle for me, but this is his perfect "cheese" smile.
Again, little boy!

Okay, looks like Shadow chased the ball at least twice:)
On May 1st Evan enjoyed his second wedding experience. We joined Jack and his parents in their celebration. Evan would have spent the entire night two feet from the band if we had let him. All he wanted to do was dance and stare at the band. Oh, and eat cake of course! He may love the outdoors like his daddy, but this he definitely gets from me:)
He was so good during the ceremony.

And during the reception he played with his truck and Ian's plane, and almost caused many accidents by sending them flying across the floor.

Too cute!
They were still checking out the food!
Dancing
Dancing
Dancing machine!
Thank goodness the boy loves hats almost as much as he loves being outside.
Shadow kiss!
Yes, Alysha, he is wearing Crocs, but at least they are pirate crocs.

The other night Evan put on a concert for the neighborhood. Drumming! It is the first thing he wants to do in the morning, and we have to pry the sticks out of his hands at night.
