Week 26

6 months old!
This was my last week of vacation, so there are a lot of pictures and videos. We put the tree up on Saturday night, and when Evan saw it the next morning, he just loved all the lights. We enjoyed his first Thanksgiving, but can't wait for his first Christmas.

I just can't believe how quickly he is changing. It is something new every day!

This boy loves his grandmas!
One second he was leaning back against grandma, and the next he was using those new tummy muscles to sit right up.
Mmmm, Grandma Tammy's finger sure does taste good. The end of a long ride home. He did much better on the way down when we drove mostly after dark, but he still did pretty darn good on the trip home.

Uncle Skeeter and Auntie Marisa Aunti Risa's Grandma Evelyn.

Long week...must sleep whenever possible.

Tummy time with Grandma Tammy in Auntie Alysha's fabulous new home!
Sitting in a big boy high chair at the Greek restaurant.
After this he went to his first movie at the theater. We saw Four Christmases, and even with all the laughter he slept through it all.

Week 26-Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in Northridge with my sister-in-law's grandparents. It was Evan's first long car trip and he did really well. Ben was unable to come with us at the last minute because of work. Luckily we were riding with my parents, so it wasn't just me and Evan.
Spending time with Auntie Risa. She and Uncle Skeeter couldn't believe how much he has grown in the last three months.

Working up an appetite.

Evan was so sad that his daddy wasn't there:(
Luckily he is a baby and it is still easy to make him smile.

Our little man!
Isn't he dapper?
Quality time with Papa Kirk.
Evan had sweet potatoes for the first time on Thanksgiving. As you will see, they went over about as well as carrots and rice cereal.

Week 25

Last Friday our big guy weighed in at 17 pounds 4 ounces, with his clothes on.
I haven't scanned it into the computer yet, but he did sit on Santa's lap last Tuesday, and the baby of a million facial expressions had none. Maybe next year.

We are practicing posing for a family picture. Now we just need to work on getting Ben and Shadow in the picture too.

He can't seem to spend enough time on his feet. If he is on his back and he grabs your fingers, he can pull/push himself to standing.
What do you think, is he practicing for his American Idol debut? We already know he is going to be a genius pianist. Will he sing too?
Still no teeth, but he can't get enough of his hand. He is a slobbering fool.
His cousins, Avery and Brynn, discovered that putting their hair in his face made him laugh... and laugh...

and laugh.
Where did they go?
Finally, Uncle Casey came for a visit and we got some pictures.
Carrots! They went over about as well as rice cereal. Hanging with his daddy. We know the outfit is out of season, but hey, it didn't fit until now.
More stories with auntie.
Who, me?
I didn't do it, honest!
Pinching is one of his favorite newly acquired skills. He is especially fond of the face and neck.
