Week 38

Evan has become so curious these past few weeks. He has recently discovered that he can lean forward, and cock his head to the side at the same time, allowing him to look under things. He has also been experimenting with different sounds. He seems to enjoy a really high pitched squeal and a low pitch fake cough/choking sound. Both of which are cute, but also a little disturbing when he does them out of the blue. He has also turned over a new leaf when it comes to food. He will pretty much lean in and open wide for all foods now. He still hasn't finished an entire container in one sitting, but he gets quite a few bites in before he is either bored or full.
Here he is showing off his new sounds.
Our new chair finally arrived!
Watching daddy put it together...
Testing it out...seems to do the job nicely!
It rocks...
...it reclines...
...and it reclines some more. As a result, Evan slept in his own room all night Sunday, since I could nurse him in his own room without a creaking chair waking him up afterward.
I'm sure all new moms feel the same way, but I could watch him play all day. In fact, that is pretty much all I did Saturday after making room for the new chair. Here he is using those new searching skills. We played this game for hours this weekend. He pulls everything out, I put it away, and he pulls it back out. He loved it!

He found Elmo particularly funny this day...
A close up of his owie. He got himself pretty good. Guess I had better be a little more consistent with cutting his nails.
He woke up Thursday morning bright and early, so he had time to jump and eat before school.

Week 37

Evan celebrated his first Valentine's Day surrounded by those who love him. As you will see in the pictures and videos, he visited with Grandma Tammy, Papa Kirk, Grandma and Papa Mac, and the Seales. These first photos were taken this morning, and he is jumping of course. It is his favorite pastime. Isn't this one a great shot of his teeth? The boy of a million faces has returned!
I think this smile may get him out of trouble some day...

Saying good-bye to Papa Kirk and Grandma Tammy.
Evan gobbled up his banana, peach, and granola this weekend. So, we decided to let him experiment with a sippy cup. To be honest, he was far more interested in the camera than the cup or its contents.

Lots of play time at the Seales' house on Sunday.
Chillin with his Papa Kirk...
...and his Grandma Mac.
Showing off his new outfit!
The baby version of the runway.
Okay, enough!
We have been working on kisses. So, he decided to get in some practice with Avery's Hannah Montana glitter bear.

And on Avery too!

He really enjoyed his cousin's beanbag chair (even if it is purple).
Some tickle time with grandma. I am not sure who is tickling who though...

You can see that they both have a surprised look on their faces in this next picture. Literally seconds after we buttoned the last button, Evan let out a noise that resulted in the brand new outfit being immediately stripped from his body.
And we made it in time! No poopoo on the new outfit, yay!
Another great shot of his teeth!
Our little cutie got his hands on a little cutie and went to town.
Did they see that?
Yup!
They're letting me get away with it!
Playing with grandma's i Phone

While waiting for the grandparents to arrive, Evan rolled from one end of his room to the other, and then we had a photo shoot.
This is his pouty look.
His precious look.
His mischievous look.
His all business look.
His playing with the camera look.
And of course, his I'm bored look.
