Week 45

We spent his first Easter with Ben's side of the family. He had two egg hunts, one here the day before Easter, and one at Connie and Ned's on Easter.

He loved his Easter rabbits, but the pail was his favorite!
Dying Easter eggs and spending time with grandma and papa.

The weather was so nice over the break that we got to spend some time at the park. He loves the swing, and tried one of the rocking animals, and he loved that too.

So I was snapping pictures with the camera and switched to video, and forgot to rotate it back. So, yes, I realize that the video is sideways.

Easter egg hunt number one.

Getting his hair blown back by his toy.

Trying to comfort his cousin.
Getting ready for our playdate with Brittany, Julie, and Bailie while daddy was at the Giants game.

I LOVE this picture!

Evan has started eating little pieces of toast and waffles. In these pictures he is really showing off his teeth, including his newest one on the top. Lately he has been obsessed with watching us drink from a cup, so I let him try my water. He loves it, even if he does just blow bubbles half the time.

Kisses for his cousin Kaleya before she gets on the road to Disneyland. Playing with Kaleya. The two of them really hit it off!

Photo op with the cousins! As soon as Papa Kirk emails me his pics, I will add them. He has a few good ones of the three of them.

Week 44

Evan turned 10 months this week! We went to the doctor on Wednesday, and he is on the same growth curve in all areas, except his head! He was in the 12th percentile at 6 months, and now he is in the 52nd! He is in the 61st percentile for height (2' 5"), the 33rd percentile for weight (20 lbs 3.1. oz), and the 21st percentile for weight for length. He has a case of baby eczema, and his iron level was a little lower than they would like it to be. So, we are increasing his green veggie intake and lathering on the Aveeno lotion. He is getting his fifth tooth, and getting closer to crawling on his hands and knees. Most importantly, he is sleeping through the night, yay! Tonight Evan had a visit from Grandma Tammy, Papa Kirk, and his cousins Alysha and Kaleya. Below Kaleya is being very patient with a very tired Evan as she tries to read him his going to bed book. He started out fairly attentive. Then, he lost interest, and she lost hold of the book trying to keep him focused.
Finally, she decided to prop the book, and hold on to him to keep him focused.

We moved one of his jumpsters outside, and he loves taking in the new scenery. He is going to be one of those kids that rides his bike and roller coasters with no hands because he kept putting both hands in the air and jumping away.

He is playing with everything in his room. Including the dresser drawers and his door. I stepped out to get something and came back to a closed door, with Evan on the other side. Luckily he can't push it hard enough to latch it, so I could ease the door open without knocking into him. Needless to say, I panicked a little.
Showing off his toothy grin!

Evan had his first trip to the city. We were in San Francisco Sunday for Andrea's shower. We enjoyed getting to see her pregnant, and spending the day with Anna and Isaiah.

Pictures of Evan on his 10 month birthday!
