Shoes, Jayhawks and Pooh!

It seems like each week Evan is completely dedicated to and focused on something new. One week it was nose picking (ew), the next his new shoes, then it was Jayhawks, and last week it was Winnie the Pooh. We are having so much fun watching him discover everything for the first time. Hard to believe that he will be 20 months tomorrow. Where has the time gone? His laugh is infectious, I love it!

Yep, his auntie may rock, but he picks! Like I said, ew!
Is he eating it too? Who knows, but look at those eyes!

Showing off his new shoes and his legs that haven't seen sunlight in months.
He wants to wear them all the time! Even when it is time for bath and bed.

The day has arrived...he has learned to recognize and say Jayhawk! He wants to wear his Jayhawk clothes every day. One day I came in and he had taken everything out of his drawers looking for is Jayhawk shirt. What fun!
This is him saying Jayhawk instead of cheese.

Every time the Jayhawk left the screen he would say, "More?"
Last week Evan really started pretend playing. We spent the entire weekend changing Pooh's diaper, feeding him, and putting him to bed. It really is the cutest thing.

Not sure whether he is getting dressed or trying to take it off. Either way, he gets more independent each day with both.

Evan misses Tres...

...so does Pooh.

Our New Car!

We were sad to see the truck go, but we love our new car! Look how much room he has:)

Just Having Fun

After a week with various grandparents, Evan seems to have forgotten the no jumping on the bed rule:) He loves to "jump" and one day he will actually get his feet off the ground! I love this pose. One day he just kept jumping and landing in this pose, too cute!

Jumping!
Landing:)
His favorite place to hide before jumping out and saying boo. He loves to scare daddy!
"What? Am I not supposed to be up here?"
"Cheese!" He has now started saying cheese and running over to the camera to see the picture. I think one of the Alyshas taught him that.

We got to puppy sit for a few days while Auntie was in transition. Evan loved to taunt Tres while he was in lock up.
The day we left Tres with Auntie, Evan looked to the seat next to him in the car and said, "Choo" (translation, Tres). He misses the pup, but we will see him shortly since Auntie now lives in SF!

You may notice this next shirt quite often. Evan LOVES this shirt, and if he sees it, he must wear it! Of course in the next picture it is highly appropriate. Thank you auntie for the shirt, and grandma and papa for the drum.

Tickle time with mommy!

A Visit with Samantha

We had a long overdue playdate with Samantha and Christy today. The last time they played together they were both still crawling. Evan loved playing with all her toys! We are still working on the playing together part.
Samantha looked at me, but Evan looked at Christy...in every picture.

Bath Time

I let the water run a little long, but he loved the bubbles!

Videos (Nov-Dec)

Our little dancing machine goes hard rock!

I think he likes it just a little bit:)

When he couldn't get his present unwrapped, he decided to just wrap it back up.

Here he is riding the trike.

Comparison

Look how much he has grown in a year!
