Busy Boy

Evan sure is looking and acting like a little boy these days. He is talking up a storm, running and climbing everywhere, and discovering new things every day. He loves to go down the big boy slide and he definitely knows what he likes, doesn't like, wants to do and doesn't want to do.
He is very much a boy! He and his friend Mateo were having some trouble keeping their hands to themselves, as you can see below.

Evan loves water, anytime, anywhere. His latest thing is doing the dishes after helping us cook.

He is getting closer to being able to undress himself. He was so excited to find some shoes that he could put on by himself (thank you Lani).
Happy Valentine's Day!

Another pair of shoes, courtesy of Grandma Mac.
Pooh Bear wanted to color too...

...okay fine Pooh, you can have the chair.
Cheese!
Finally, he found a pair of shoes that fit that he can put on himself!

Boots!
Outside!
Evan loves all forms of transportation, but the trash truck is his favorite. He loves Thursday mornings because it is trash day at Susan's and at home. Here he is watching our neighbor's trash being dumped.
"Mama, trash truck! More?"

His new big truck.

When he was sick he didn't want to take baths, so we brought in the big trucks!
Uh-oh...something isn't right.
If any of you knew Casey as we were growing up, you might think that you are flashing back to the 80's, but in fact this is Evan, not Casey.
Here it comes...
There it is! That is the look! Complete with breathing through the teeth.

A little reading time with Pooh Bear and Diego.
He loves to read with them in his chair or on the couch. He also loves to put them in his crib, say bye-bye, close the door, then open it and say good morning. And repeat!

Shoes, Jayhawks and Pooh!

It seems like each week Evan is completely dedicated to and focused on something new. One week it was nose picking (ew), the next his new shoes, then it was Jayhawks, and last week it was Winnie the Pooh. We are having so much fun watching him discover everything for the first time. Hard to believe that he will be 20 months tomorrow. Where has the time gone? His laugh is infectious, I love it!

Yep, his auntie may rock, but he picks! Like I said, ew!
Is he eating it too? Who knows, but look at those eyes!

Showing off his new shoes and his legs that haven't seen sunlight in months.
He wants to wear them all the time! Even when it is time for bath and bed.

The day has arrived...he has learned to recognize and say Jayhawk! He wants to wear his Jayhawk clothes every day. One day I came in and he had taken everything out of his drawers looking for is Jayhawk shirt. What fun!
This is him saying Jayhawk instead of cheese.

Every time the Jayhawk left the screen he would say, "More?"
Last week Evan really started pretend playing. We spent the entire weekend changing Pooh's diaper, feeding him, and putting him to bed. It really is the cutest thing.

Not sure whether he is getting dressed or trying to take it off. Either way, he gets more independent each day with both.
Hugs for Pooh

Evan misses Tres...

...so does Pooh.
