Drums

Evan was so excited the morning he woke up and saw his new blue drums!
This is his rockin' out look.

Thank you grandma and papa!

Happy Happy Birthday!

Evan's birthday landed on Open House this year, so I made some cupcakes to share with the class. We started Evan's birthday off right, with presents and a cupcake! First, we read his new book Happy Birthday Thomas. Here he is saying "thank you" to the Hendryx family for his puzzles.

Smelling the flowers Brittany made to top his present.

Just a little happy when he discovered what was underneath the pretty green paper...

...drums!

Oooh, what is this?

Trucks from Grandpa Bob!

A little funfetti birthday cupcake!

"Yummy in my tummy!"

And this is what happened when mommy said no to his request for "More birthday cupcake?"

Don't worry, he wasn't sad for long. He was all smiles for the ride to school as he enjoyed his blueberry waffles.

After Open House, Mrs. Prock came by with more presents!

Peek-a-boo!

Evan not only got to spend time with us at home and with me at school, he also got to go to daycare and over to the Thomas house. He was loved by many!

Playing with his new bus and truck.

He loves his new animal book!

One more present from Phyllis, another book to love.

Evan had a great time visiting with Auntie Alysha.

He even helped her decide what to wear to her girls night. He misunderstood because he decided which one he liked the best, and then he wanted to wear it.

Looking good!

On Saturday we had Auntie Alysha and the Seales over to help us celebrate Evan's birthday. He was just a little excited:)

Auntie Brooke and Cousin Brynn
He looks so much like his cousin Alysha in this picture.

Got milk?

Once his hands got this messy he was done and ready to open presents.

"A toy!" Then he backed away and was done. We had to convince him to finish unwrapping it.

"A LAWNMOWER!"

Testing it out.

For some unknown reason, Ben's lawnmower cuts out every few minute, and he is always bending down and fixing it. So, after Evan had pushed his lawnmower a few times, he stopped to fix it:)

Playing with all his new toys in the backyard with his cousins.

Thank you for making Evan's birthday special!
