Partying with the Procks

We spent Friday evening with the Procks, Olsens, Snyders, and Kammans enjoying all the great things about summer: BBQ, friends, and sunsets. Evan and Bailie on their first date.

Evan ate like a champ. All the other kids got up to play, and he just kept on eating.

He was eating for so long, he was still in his seat when it was time fore dessert!

Swim Lessons

This year Evan got to take swim lessons four days a week for two weeks. By the last day he was able to hold on to a noodle all by himself and kick his way over to me. These photos are taken on the second to last day of lessons. Here he is doing his favorite move, sit and kick.

We have some work to do when it comes to holding up certificates for a photo op.

Evan isn't the only thing growing this summer...

Our garden is thriving! As you can see in the pictures, we have an insane amount of zucchini. Let us know if you want some. We are taking them almost everywhere we go these days. Our tomatoes and peppers are just coming in, and our sunflowers are just about to bloom. Tomato!
Our first tomato of the season.
You can see that there are many more to come.

Big Boy Bed

We made the switch last night! He is very excited about his new big boy bed. He got in no problem last night, I gave him a kiss, and he said good night. As soon as I shut the door, I heard him talking (not unusual). Then I heard a knock on his door, and there he was holding out his water glass. Not because he wanted more, but because I didn't put it in the kitchen like I always do. I tucked him in again, and he was out. He didn't sleep through the night, but he hadn't been the last few nights anyway. At least he didn't get out, or fall out, of his bed during the night. Thank you to Susan at daycare for transitioning him to a big boy cot when he turned two. This made our transition at home so much easier.

A very excited big boy!

Watching Daddy Work

A we were leaving our play date with Sam and Christy, Ben drove by in big brown. Evan loves to see Daddy's truck.

Evan loves to pretend to mow the lawn, but doesn't like to be outside when Ben is mowing the lawn because it is too loud. He prefers this front row seat.

I turned the flash on...
"Where daddy go?"

Playing with Friends

Evan and I met up with Samantha and Christy for a play date in the park. They both played, just not together. Not even long enough for a photo. Maybe someday...

Really, he was having fun.

Snuggling with his Poohs on the couch. The heat has no effect on this kid!
