Week 49

Evan's first Ice Cream Social.

I love STAR testing! I got home early enough tonight to have dinner and play with Evan before his bath. Not a bad way to continue the week after enjoying a relaxing first Mother's Day to start it off. Practicing his crawling:)
After the Race for the Cure we went to the park. It is so fun to watch him giggle on the swing as he gets closer to us.


Can you tell it has been a long day? He took a nice long nap when we got home!

Evan is so close to crawling on his hands and knees! He can scoot on them, reach, and pull up, but he can travel faster on his tummy, so he defaults to that when he needs to get somewhere.

Week 48

I can't believe he is 11 months! We should have pictures of Grandma Mac's retirement party and Papa Mac's birthday brunch, but I got sick, so we didn't make it to CC. Instead, Evan got in a lot of daddy time on Friday and Saturday while I slept, and then on Sunday and Monday he got some time with Grandma Tammy. He went to the doctor again this week for his baby eczema, which got a lot worse. Unfortunately we have to cut down on his bath time, but other than that, not much we can do other than lather him in the lotion. Here are pictures of his first curiosity owie. Grandma bought him a little turtle shower, and he loves it, as you can see in this video. I didn't get it on this video, but he loves it so much he strangles it!




Evan is getting really good at picking up little tiny things. This is great when it is food on his tray, not so great when it is food on the floor!

As soon as I posted that he wasn't pulling up last week, he started to. I got the camera to catch it, but I missed it. But here is him playing around anyway.

Week 47

Evan's big accomplishment this week was learning to get from his belly to a sitting position. At the beginning of the week he could only do it in the tub, but by the weekend he was doing it with ease on dry land. After the blog last week someone commented that Evan's daddy was showing up more and more in his looks. Here is a picture of me at 1 year. What do you think?

He isn't pulling up on his own, but he loves to stand and play at his activity table.
