Week 19 doctor visit

We just got back from the doctor, and he was a champ! He had 4 immunization shots in his legs and one oral immunization. He cried while she did it, and has been sleeping ever since (it has only been 45 minutes).
For all of you have said to yourself (or to us) how large his head looks. Wrong! His head circumference is almost 16 inches, which sounds huge to me, but is only in the 10th percentile for his age. He weighed in at 14 lbs 7.9 oz, which is the 38th percentile. He measured at 24.25 inches, which is the 22nd percentile. However, for his height and weight combo, I think she said he was in the 70s somewhere. So, he is a little chunky monkey right now but that's okay, since last time he was long for his age. Well, I had better get off the computer and up to work. Evan is spending the day with Nicola, so he can have some one on one time while he recovers from his shots.

Week 18

Evan turned 4 months on Friday, and had his first fever on Monday. Big week! We think it might just be teething, but I guess we will find out when he goes to the doctor tomorrow for his well baby visit and shots. Evan is so close to rolling over. He can go from back to side by himself, and all the way to tummy and back with a little help. Evan got to see his Auntie Alysha for two quick visits, but the pic was on her camera and it got erased:(

A Sunday visit with the Seales.

Evan has turned into an awesome sleeper!

He loves his bedtime routine: bath, books, bed.

We finally found a situation that called for the adorable infant bathrobe. Evan and I went shopping for new pajamas on Saturday. We finished bath time, and they weren't out of the dryer yet, so we busted out the robe...

Bedtime stories with daddy.

Evan loves his mobile, and his doggy blanket.

Mornings with daddy...like father, like son. Aren't they cute? And no, I didn't pose them.

Week 17

Evan started daycare on Monday. This is a picture of him and Susan. He was all smiles and giggles when I went to pick him, so I know we made a good choice. I love to snuggle and cuddle!
"What?" "Hello:)" "Yes, I am as precious as I look."
Just another long day watching ball games...

Saturday morning with Grandma Tammy and Papa Kirk.

Papa Kirk and Grandma Tammy came down for a quick visit on Friday night.

Friday was Evan's last day with the Thomas family. We were so lucky that these ladies (and Greg) opened up their home to Evan. He will miss them:) Anais, Nicola, Arianna, Ashton and Evan
Tuesday Evan had his first ride in the front seat. We got a flat tire on the way home, so we both got to ride in the front seat of the tow truck. Of course he was still in his carseat, so the view wasn't that different, but it certainly was an adventure.

Week 16

He is mesmerized by the light of the TV, especially when it is Monday night football.
He is cute as a bug!
Evan had another playdate with Samantha. Aren't they cute? They are less than two weeks apart (Evan is younger).

Before his big playdate Mr. Strong Neck was chillin' in his Bumbo chair.

Before the Bumbo chair, we warmed up with some tummy time neck exercises.

Yes, that is him sleeping in his crib! Friday was a momentous morning. He took a bath, sat in his chair while I showered (talking my ear off), and then I put him in his crib while I got ready for school. When I went to get him, he was sound asleep! This was the first time he fell asleep on his own. Now we have been repeating this routine each night, and so far so good. He sleeps in his crib from about 7:30-11:30, and then he eats, and back to sleep until about 4 am.
I just love him in overalls! Isn't he getting so big? I remember when I was nervous to put him on the Boppy for fear that it would swallow him.
