We had Evan's birthday party on Saturday. The weather was beautiful, and the company was great! I was very impressed with my cake (really brownies) decorating skills. I've improved slightly since I covered Alysha's bridal shower cake in circus animal cookies to cover up the mess I had made of it.
The main party area was our back patio.
Evan was just checking to make sure that all the toys were in working order before his guests arrived.
Then, out of nowhere, he decided that now is the time to start crawling on his hands and knees!

Good thing his cousins were there to help him out.

We didn't make it to presents before the birthday boy crashed, but when he woke up he was ready to check everything out. He looks a little hazy because he has a fever. After everyone left, I put him down for a nap, and he felt warm, and sure enough he had a low grade temperature. You would have never known by the way he was enjoying his party.

He is still getting used to this crawling on the knees thing, so it took him a few attempts before he made it through the door.
After he checked out his gifts, it was time to clean up. He was a good helper.
Good thing he didn't try this move when the table was covered in food.
